A Crafty Day

Bethany and Rachel came over today, like they do every Tuesday, while their sister goes to music class with their mom. I had just bought some construction paper so the girls spent the morning doing art, listening to "Frozen," and loving it. I was able to get some baking done so it was a win-win. Lily was so proud of her accomplishments, it was great seeing them all busy being creative together. I was also so happy that this week Lily let Bethany and Rachel join in singing "Frozen" music with her. Last week she wanted to just put on a show without any sing-along helpers, but this week she repeatedly encouraged the girls to sing with her, though they don't have the soundtrack so they only know a little. I think Lily just needs some time to let things sink in because I didn't even have to coach her to tell them they could sing too.
Some of her art, including the French flag we made for her school project. Lily likes to use a lot of colored glue, but all the squiggles have some meaning, either an animal or a person. So there was a lot happening in these pictures.
And Ryan just likes to be my helper. Emptying the dishwasher is a favorite activity.
