Shortly after Max was born, I had the chance to attend Darin's graduation from Palmer Chiropractic School in Davenport, Iowa. It was fun to see where he had gone to school and to know that he was all done! What an accomplishment for him, we were all so happy for him and Rachel!

| Caleb sure loves baby Max, it was very sweet |

| Dad telling a story. It took quite a long time to tell since most of us kids were there and we all like to add our comments and jokes to the conversation. Dad was a little frustrated with us. |

We had a great visit and went to the Machine Shed for dinner where we got tractor rides afterward (I was sad Ryan wasn't with me). Then my mom bought us all red tractors that looked just like the one her dad had on his farm. Ryan loved it when I brought it home.
This was a fun visit because I just had Max (who was an angel) and I got to chat with people more than I otherwise would have been able to. And it was neat to be part of Darin's wonderful accomplishment. I also have to say that as soon as I landed in Davenport, I was blown away by people's kindness to me when they saw me traveling with a baby. They were just so overly nice and it was such a pleasant surprise! No wonder people love the Midwest, and Darin and Rachel said my experience was pretty typical.
