Lily's Christmas Program at school, praying, and gifts

Ryan has just discovered how to participate in prayers. He loves to fold his arms and often isn’t done praying when the prayer is over. So Lily gets to say lots of prayers to satisfy his whims.
The sister missionaries came over for dinner and he wanted to shake their hands before they left. He can also bark like a doggie, roar like a bear, hold his hand up to wave goodbye and tries to mimic other noises. His new interest is plugging and unplugging the Christmas tree lights, much to Lily’s great distress.

Lily sang “This Little Light of Mine” at her school Christmas program and memorized a scripture for it, “Psalms 119:105: Your word is a lamp unto my fee and light to my path.” It’s very cute and she can even say the reference. She wasn’t too interested in singing on the stage once she discovered there was a screen behind her that was filming the singing. She was more interested in watching herself on the big screen.

Lily was so excited about her Christmas Program at school. They learned a couple songs and a scripture, and Lily had the scripture down: Psalms 119:105;  your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path. The theme for the evening was "light" so they held up little lights and sang "This Little Light of Mine." When they sang, "hide it under a bushel" they covered it with their hands and then yelled "NO!" and uncovered the light. Jeff was out of town but they had a live feed so he watched it on the side of the road in Wyoming. Lily wasn't too interested in singing when she saw herself on the screen. She really liked watching herself up there.

Lily loves sisters Lexi and Gracie. They are our neighbors and also take Sound Beginnings with Lily. They would be inseparable if it was possible.
Lily was so excited to watch Gracie in the older class sing her songs. They sang "Little Drummer Boy" and the "rum-pum-pum-pum's" were a hit.
We picked out some Christmas gifts for her school teachers and she insisted on getting a present that actually looked like a present. I tried to explain that we were putting it in a bag, but she wanted one with a pretty box or that was wrapped up. So we settled on some soaps that were in a nice little box and she said that Miss Mary and Miss Marissa would like it a lot.

On another note, how cute is this? They love their books.
