Easter dinner was wonderful and we had a nice visit then I headed home with the kids. We were tired, but listened to "Lamb of God" the whole drive home and it went quickly.
Monday we went to sewing, then school, then a bike ride to the park where Lily can slide down the firemen's pole and Ryan can climb up the ladder. He was so proud and so was I, they are sure growing up! Jeff came home and it was off to get haircuts, Max's first one. Both he and Ryan did awesome, no tears, and they both look so cute.
On Tuesday we had a very nice day. We had our music class (Ryan and Max were a little energized, so that was interesting), Lily had ballet and then we played at home. Before nap time I said it was time to clean up and they both resisted. But then I said whoever picked up the most items got to choose the story we read, they worked very fast. During naps I practiced music with Lily, then she did art at the table while I squared up my patches (I have a goal to do a certain amount each day). We talked and played "I spy with my little eye..." and had fun. After I finshed I helped her with art, then we played Memory, Go Fish, and Snap. Lily loves it and we had a great time together. Ryan woke up and we played snap for a bit then just the two of them played. It always feels good to spend time with kids and have special moments. After Max woke up we went to Costco and they do such a great job there. It's always pleasant to shop with them and they're a lot of fun and great kids. I really love them so much.
We went to the park in the evening. I talked to Jeff and asked where he was (he wasn't supposed to come home tonight) and he wouldn't tell me. I thought it was Cafe Rio since he said he didn't want to tell me in case I got mad. But while at the park, all of a sudden Jeff appeared in his car! He had come home and it was the best surprise! He played with the kids and even another boy there with his dad had to join in the fun. Jeff is the best dad and engages kids so well. They were running, screaming, laughing, and having the best time. I love when Jeff is home and with us and the kids love it so much too.
